For the IGS Especial series (Rp. 15,000,000+) 75% has used imported wood and for the IGS High End series (Rp. 35,000,000+) 100% has used imported wood with grade AAA (Highest Grade) and every piece of wood has been seasoned for at least a period of time. Absolutely yes, as long as the design is not a copy of someone else’s design and does not have a bad effect on the sound of the guitar.

The difference lies in the following aspects:
– Grade of wood used
– It takes a long time for the wood to be seasoned / dried
– Species rarity of the material used
– Details
– Decoration
– Perfection of construction
– Internal Construction
– the technology used to make the guitar

For the  Soundboard IGS uses 3 types of species: Spruce, Cedar, and Redwood. For the backside, there are many choices, Cocobolo, Madagascar, Brazilian, Indian, Honduran Rosewood, Bocote, Ziricoat, Maple, Mahogany, Ebony, and many more.

  • Always put it in a hard case when not playing

  • Place it in normal air (humidity 70% – 80%) avoid excessive exposure to AC because AC air is too dry (humidity 40% – 50%) for guitars produced in Indonesia. If the air is too dry, the wood will be at risk of cracking

  • Avoid excessive heat such as sunlight, or leaving the guitar in a car exposed to sunlight. Heat above 37°C will damage the guitar.

  • Avoid impacts, especially at the top where this part is the thinnest and most fragile

  • When changing strings, remove and install the strings one by one. Avoid removing 6 strings at once and installing them all at once. This aims to keep the voltage constant and maintain the set up.

  • When left for a long period of time, the strings do not need to be loosened. Keep it at normal pitch and tension to maintain the set up level.

  • Don’t put silica gel into the guitar body.

  • Avoid using chemical cleaners on the guitar body, just wipe it with a dry microfibre cloth (like a glasses wipe).

  • For service and maintenance, it can be handled directly by IGS. DO NOT service it elsewhere because there is a risk of bad service results and voiding the IGS product warranty.
